St. Petersburg’s Lanai Builder, Based Close to Home

Eclipse Service Hub maintains a dedicated office in St. Petersburg. That keeps our crews close for most lanai enclosure construction in St. Petersburg rather than dispatched from across the state. A lanai is a covered outdoor living space common in Florida homes. It’s similar to a patio or porch, but built for warm, humid climates. We know what St. Petersburg’s weather can do to a screen, so every lanai we build is made to last.

Why that proximity matters:

St. Petersburg: A Lanai Shaped by the Water

St. Petersburg sits on a peninsula between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. That waterfront setting means more sun, more salt air, and more time spent outdoors than in most inland Florida cities. An unscreened lanai here gives up much of that potential to bugs, glare, and blowing debris. Lanai screen enclosures in St. Petersburg turn that covered space into a room you can use every day, not just on the mildest days.

The city is a mix of long-established neighborhoods and newer waterfront development, so lanai layouts vary widely. Some are simple covered slabs off the back of an older home, and others are larger spaces built into newer construction closer to the water. Whether it’s a front entryway, a back lanai off the pool deck, or a fully custom build, our lanai screen enclosure installations in St. Petersburg are designed around the property as it actually is, not a single standard layout.

Recent Lanai Installation Work in St. Petersburg

Our project history includes completed screen enclosure work in Tampa, including a front entry screen installation and a lanai screen installation. Every project uses the same in-house crew and materials regardless of city: rust-proof aluminum framing, premium USA-made screening, and custom door and hardware installation.

Why Professional Lanai Construction Matters in St. Petersburg

A professionally built lanai protects your home and adds property value. A DIY screen job or an unlicensed installer can’t guarantee either.

Insulated vs. Mesh Roof for St. Petersburg Lanai Enclosures

Not every lanai enclosure uses the same roof system. The right choice depends on the level of shade, comfort, and airflow you want.

Insulated Roof Panels (Sandwich Panels)

Premium solid roof panels with a foam-insulated core for maximum comfort and temperature control.

Superior shade and heat reduction, keeping the patio cooler on hot St. Petersburg days
Supports ceiling fans and light fixtures (electrician required for wiring)
Best for homeowners wanting a premium outdoor room feel.

Mesh Roof (Screen Roof)

A traditional Florida screened roof for maximum ventilation and open-air comfort.

Highest airflow and natural ventilation; more affordable than insulated panels
Keeps insects, debris, and leaves out while preserving open-sky visibility
Best for homeowners who prefer an open outdoor feel.

Roof Styles Available for St. Petersburg Lanai Screen Enclosures

Mansard: high, open interior with excellent airflow; ideal for luxury enclosures
Dome: improves wind flow, suited to larger enclosures
Gable: classic pitched design matching many St. Petersburg home styles
Hip: sloped on all four sides, strongest wind resistance; a solid pick given St. Petersburg's storm exposure
Shed: simple single-slope layout, practical for tighter side-yard lots common in older St. Petersburg neighborhoods
Flat: clean, low-profile, budget-friendly, requires slight pitch for runoff

Mesh Options for St. Petersburg’s Climate

Fiberglass Mesh: flexible, rust-proof, affordable; standard choice for most St. Petersburg homes
Pet-Resistant Mesh: heavy-duty, coated polyester built for active dogs and cats
Aluminum Mesh: rigid, ultra-durable for high-traffic doors or lower wall sections
Solar Screen Mesh: blocks up to 90% of UV rays, a strong fit for Tampa's long sun exposure and hot decks
High Visibility Mesh: finer weave for open views with maximum airflow
No-See-Um Mesh: ultra-fine weave for humid, bug-prone Tampa Bay conditions

Eclipse Service Hub did a fantastic job installing my the screen on my lanai and by balcony. Fred was extremely helpful, he did the did most of the legwork with obtaining approval from my HOA. The only task I had to complete was submitting a few requested documents. Fred also walked me through the entire process. He was very responsive to my texts and emails and he met every timetable he set. George was the best technician. His work was awesome and efficient. These guys were so good to me. I changed my mind about about the location of the door on the lanai. I thought is was going to be a huge problem and headache to move it and it was not a problem at all. Fred and George took care of my request and it didn’t delay my project. I would definitely recommend this company for their service and their product. If you live in the Two Rivers community and need your lanai or balcony screen installed or a cage installed, give them a call. The cost is less than what the builder charges.

I was very skeptical and I let them know it. Why? Because their reviews seemed too good to be true. I thought maybe they had screened out all the bad ones. I was wrong. They are excellent. Responsive with scheduling, communication and translation capabilities. The job was finished quicker than I thought it would be and they made the adjustment needed when I discovered from my son a kick plate was definitely needed. Price was very reasonable and service was superb. Definitely recommend using them.
