Project Overview

This project focused on repairing and fully rescreening an existing lanai to restore functionality, comfort, and visual appeal. Over time, the original screens had deteriorated, allowing insects and debris into the space and reducing the usability of the lanai as a relaxing outdoor living area.

Our objective was to deliver a clean, durable, and well-fitted rescreening solution that preserved airflow and natural light while giving the lanai a refreshed, uniform appearance.

The Challenge

The existing lanai screens showed visible signs of wear, including loose panels and aging mesh that no longer provided reliable insect protection. Some sections had become ineffective due to prolonged exposure to Florida’s heat, humidity, and seasonal weather.

The homeowner needed a solution that would restore full insect protection, maintain airflow and visibility, and match the existing aluminum framing. It will improve the overall look and longevity of the enclosure.

Our Solution & Materials

We completed a full lanai rescreening using high-quality materials designed for Florida conditions:

• Removed damaged and worn screen panels throughout the lanai
• Installed new standard insect screen mesh for reliable airflow and pest control
• Inspected and secured the existing aluminum framing for stability
• Used professional spline installation to ensure tight, secure panel fitting
• Delivered clean edges and consistent tension for a seamless finish

All materials were selected to withstand daily use and environmental exposure while maintaining a clean, polished appearance.

Results

The finished lanai now offers a comfortable, bug-free outdoor space with improved airflow and visibility. The rescreening restored the enclosure’s functionality while enhancing its overall appearance—allowing the homeowner to enjoy the space with confidence and ease.
